20 Years of Nanyang Kopi: Toast Box's SG60 Menu at 313@Somerset

September 25, 2026
Summary: Celebrating 20 years of Nanyang Kopi and nostalgia. Toast Box at 313@Somerset serves traditional kaya toast and local delights, with a current SG60 limited-edition menu featuring Toast Box x Horlicks drinks.

A Nostalgic Slice of 1960s Singapore

Toast Box was established in 2005 by the BreadTalk Group, built as a nostalgic reflection of the coffee shops from the 1960s and 70s, when a typical breakfast was a fragrant cup of Nanyang coffee and a freshly toasted bread. Now celebrating 20 years of this journey, Toast Box has grown to 79 outlets across Singapore, with additional locations in Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Johor Bahru.

The 313@Somerset outlet is located on Basement 2, serving as a convenient stop for a cup of authentic Nanyang coffee while shopping on Orchard Road.

SG60 Limited Edition Menu, Now Available

To mark Singapore's milestone, Toast Box has introduced a SG60 limited edition menu, featuring their peppery Bak Kut Teh, refreshing Calamansi Plum Burst, and three creamy Toast Box x Horlicks drinks — Malty Kopi, Malty Teh, and Original Malt. These items are available while stocks last, so it's worth heading down before they're gone.

Evening diners can also enjoy the Nanyang Dinner Delights menu, available daily after 5pm, with set meals starting from just $9.50. And for a small eco-friendly bonus, bringing your own cup for takeaway earns you 10¢ off your purchase.

Pro Tip: Purchased a 2kg bag of SōnHé rice? Bring the empty packaging to any Toast Box outlet to redeem a free toast or bun (worth $2.40) — a nice little bonus for regular grocery shoppers.

What to Order

The signature Nanyang Kopi remains the star of the menu, made from a special coffee blend developed over months and traditionally brewed using a cloth sock, poured by an expert Kopi Master from a long-spout pot. Pair it with the Traditional Kaya Toast or the lesser-known but equally beloved Peanut Butter Thick Toast, generously layered on thick white bread.

For something heartier, Toast Box also serves local favourites like Laksa, Curry Chicken, Mee Siam, and Nasi Lemak — and more recently, crispy Prata served with both sugar and curry for dipping, a welcome new addition for those craving something different from the usual toast set.
